Jack has been working with We Are Footprint for the past three years, steadily building both his career and his confidence in the construction industry. Throughout this time, he’s been consistently placed with Rapidfix Ceilings and Partitions, where he has become a valued and respected member of the team.
When Jack first joined us, his circumstances were quite different. He was living at home with his mother and sister and, although determined to work hard, he found himself struggling to secure steady employment and a clear path forward. He started his journey with We Are Footprint as a General Labourer. From the outset, it was clear that Jack was committed, reliable, and eager to progress.
Recognising his potential, our team at We Are Footprint along with the team at Rapidfix Ceilings and Partitions, worked closely with Jack to help him develop new skills and take on greater responsibility. Through our upskilling programme, he successfully completed his SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) qualification, enabling him to step up into the role of Team Leader, or Ganger. This transition not only broadened his experience but also opened the door to higher earnings and more fulfilling work.
The impact on Jack’s life has been significant. He has now moved into his own home, which he shares with his girlfriend and her daughter, creating a stable and happy family life. Financially, things have transformed for him. Where once he lived week to week, Jack has now been able to build up savings, giving him greater security and peace of mind. He’s even able to plan holidays - something that felt out of reach in the past.
