Job Description:
Overview
We are Footprint are looking for a Traffic Marshall for our clients construction site in Barnsley.
This is a two day holiday cover.
Responsibilities
- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic in accordance with site safety protocols
- Ensure all vehicles adhere to designated routes and speed limits
- Maintain clear communication with drivers, site personnel, and management teams
- Assist with the organisation of deliveries, pickups, and site access points
- Conduct routine checks on traffic control equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Enforce health and safety regulations to minimise risks on-site
- Manage parking arrangements to optimise space utilisation
- Support in emergency situations by coordinating evacuation procedures or directing emergency services
Experience
- Prior experience in traffic management essential. Providing 2 references.
- Strong management skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures related to traffic control equipment
- Valid Traffic Marshall ticket
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with diverse teams and external agencies.
