Responsibilities:

  • Direct and control vehicle movements within the construction site to ensure safety and compliance with site regulations.
  • Assist with the safe entry and exit of lorries, delivery vehicles, and staff, ensuring smooth traffic flow.
  • Maintain clear communication with drivers, site personnel, and visitors using effective verbal communication skills.
  • Monitor the construction site for potential hazards related to traffic or pedestrian movement and report any concerns promptly.
  • Ensure all vehicles adhere to designated routes and speed limits within the site.
  • Support health and safety procedures by enforcing PPE usage and other safety measures.
  • Keep accurate records of vehicle movements as required by site management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction or traffic management is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Valid CSCS card and Traffic Management ticket (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.

Job Type: Temporary

Contract length: 8 months
