Site Manager – Social Housing Refurbishment

Location: Bradford (with local travel)

Overview:

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction contractor delivering kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes across social housing properties in the Bradford area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a stable, reputable business with a strong pipeline of work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations on occupied social housing projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day site operations for kitchen and bathroom replacement works.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers.
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with programme and client expectations.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Liaise with residents, housing officers, and client representatives professionally.
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections.
  • Monitor progress, report on performance, and resolve on-site issues.
  • Ensure works are completed with minimal disruption in occupied properties.
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within social housing refurbishment.
  • Strong background in kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes.
  • Experience working in occupied properties is essential.
  • Good knowledge of health & safety regulations and construction standards.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and programmes simultaneously.

Qualifications:

  • SMSTS (Essential)
  • CSCS (Black or Gold)
  • First Aid at Work (Preferred)
  • Asbestos Awareness (Desirable)
