The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of various groundworks and civil engineering projects. You will play a key role in cost planning, contract administration, and financial reporting while ensuring that projects remain profitable and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates and budgets.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Assess and value works completed on site.
- Produce interim and final valuations.
- Prepare and negotiate subcontractor packages and variations.
- Monitor project cash flow and report regularly on project performance.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within groundworks or civils.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management preferred.
