Quantity Surveyor – Construction (New Build & Refurbishment Projects up to £15m)

Key responsibilities:

• Manage commercial aspects of projects from initial tender through to final account.
• Prepare and analyse cost plans, bills of quantities, valuations, and variations.
• Procure subcontractors and negotiate packages.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure cost control and value engineering.
• Attend client and progress meetings, providing clear commercial updates.
• Support risk management, contractual compliance, and dispute resolution where required.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of all commercial documentation.

About you:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector.
• Background working on new build and/or refurbishment projects up to £15m.
• Strong commercial acumen with sound understanding of JCT contracts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple live projects and meet deadlines.
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred but not essential).
• Full UK driving licence required.
