The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and be proficient in using various hand and power tools. This role requires the ability to perform heavy lifting and work on a variety of projects, including fabrication, assembly, and basic masonry tasks. The Joiner will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties:
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications.
- Carry out joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction projects.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during the assembly and installation of components.
- Conduct painting and finishing work to achieve desired aesthetics on completed projects.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and masons, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience:
- Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safe practices.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools such as chisels, saws, and drills.
- Experience with power tools including routers, sanders, and nail guns is highly desirable.
- In date CSCS card.
- Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
