Hoist Operator

Duties:

• Operate hoists, including materials and passengers across construction site.
• Conduct routine inspections of hoisting equipment to ensure operational safety and report any faults or maintenance needs.
• Labouring when not operating the hoist.
• Maintain accurate records of material movement, equipment usage, and safety checks.
• Follow all health and safety protocols to minimise risks during operation.
• Support materials handling tasks such as stacking, organising, and securing loads for transport or storage.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in construction environments.
• Mechanical knowledge of lifting machinery safely.
• Valid NPORS or equivalent is essential.
• Experience with materials handling equipment such as hoists, cranes, or similar machinery.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites and warehouse operations.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical fitness to handle lifting tasks and operate machinery for extended periods. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to ongoing projects while developing specialised skills within the construction industry.
