HANDYPERSON REQUIRED – SOCIAL HOUSING REFURBISHMENT PROJECT – HUDDERSFIELD

Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Rate: £17 per hour (CIS)
Contract Type: Short-term

A respected regional main contractor is looking for an experienced Handyperson to assist on a social housing refurbishment project in Huddersfield. The role is hands-on and will involve various trades, aimed at giving the project a strong push towards completion.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with a fast-moving scheme and potentially open the door to future work with a well-established contractor known for delivering high-quality refurbishments across Yorkshire.

Role Responsibilities:

• Carrying out general joinery tasks (e.g., fitting doors, skirting, architraves)
• Plaster patch repairs and making good
• Painting and decorating of internal areas
• General snagging and finishing works
• Working as part of a small team to meet project deadlines
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in social housing or similar refurbishment environments
• Strong multi-trade background, especially in joinery, plastering, and painting
• Must have own tools and transport
• Valid CSCS card (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work independently and deliver a high standard of finish
• Good attitude, punctuality, and work ethic
