Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, fixtures, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Removing fixing from walls.
  • Grinding pipes and putting up signage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools and work areas.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs carried out.
  • Collaborate with contractors or specialists for specialised repairs or installations when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar maintenance role.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting.
  • Own your own tools.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards maintenance issues.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
  • Valid relevant certifications or licences are desirable but not essential.
  • A flexible approach to work hours and availability for emergency repairs if required.
