Gateman

You will be responsible for controlling site access and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, deliveries, and personnel throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manning the main site gate as the first point of contact.
• Logging in/out all operatives, visitors, and vehicles.
• Directing and coordinating site traffic, including delivery lorries, plant machinery, and sub contractors.
• Ensuring safe pedestrian and vehicle segregation at all times.
• Using radios to communicate with site management, plant operators, and trades for safe vehicle movements.
• Maintaining clear access routes and preventing congestion at entry/exit points.
• Conducting regular checks around the gate area and reporting any concerns.
• Enforcing strict health & safety and site security protocols.

Requirements:

• Valid A73 NPORS Gateman qualification – Essential.
• Proven experience in vehicle marshalling and traffic control on busy construction sites.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• A strong focus on safety, vigilance, and professionalism.
• Full PPE
