Job Description:

We are recruiting for a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver (FLT Operator) to work on a busy new build housing development in Winsford. The site is operated by a leading national Housing Association, recently taking over a large legacy scheme — offering ongoing, long-term work.

As the FLT Operator on site, you will play a key role in keeping materials moving efficiently and safely to support the wider build programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating the forklift to transport materials around site
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
• Supporting trades and site teams with material distribution
• Carrying out daily checks and basic maintenance of the forklift
• Assisting with general labouring duties when not on the machine
• Working closely with the site manager and traffic marshal to coordinate safe vehicle movements
• Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed at all times

Requirements:

• Valid CPCS or NPORS FLT ticket (with CSCS logo) – Essential
• Previous experience on large residential or construction sites
• Strong awareness of site safety and good communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
• Full PPE
