About the opportunity:

Role responsibilities:

  • Manage all mechanical and electrical (M&E) elements across multiple building projects.
  • Review design information, ensuring buildability, compliance, and coordination with construction teams.
  • Lead M&E planning from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Oversee subcontractors, ensuring high standards of installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Attend design meetings, progress reviews, and site coordination meetings.
  • Identify risks, technical issues, and opportunities for value engineering.
  • Ensure M&E works are compliant with regulations, standards, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with site teams, commercial departments, and external consultants.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, reports, and handover information.

About you:

  • Proven experience as a Building Services Manager, M&E Manager, or M&E Coordinator in the construction industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Background in new build and/or refurbishment projects up to £15m.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple subcontractors and maintaining quality standards.
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence.
