Build Manager / Assistant Build Manager – New Build & Refurbishment Projects (up to £15m)

Role responsibilities:

  • Support or lead the delivery of construction projects from pre-start through to handover.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams with clear direction and organisation.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation and ensure full compliance with H&S regulations.
  • Assist with programming, sequencing, logistics planning, and progress reporting.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, and commercial teams.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities, building positive working relationships.
  • Drive quality control, inspections, and snagging to achieve excellent project outcomes.

About you:

  • Experience as a Build Manager, Assistant Build Manager, Site Manager or similar role.
  • Background delivering new build and/or refurbishment schemes up to £15m.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, regulations, and best practice.
  • Capable of managing busy sites with multiple subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications (essential).
  • Full UK driving licence.
