About the Role:
The Bid Manager will lead the end-to-end bid process, managing internal teams and external stakeholders to develop compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals. This role will be central to securing new projects and supporting the business’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the entire bid process from pre-qualification through to submission.
- Work with estimating, design, planning, and commercial teams to compile bid documentation.
- Develop bid strategies and win themes tailored to each opportunity.
- Manage timelines, responsibilities, and content to meet submission deadlines.
- Ensure bids are professionally written, well presented, and aligned with client requirements.
- Conduct post-bid reviews and support continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Experience managing bids for a main contractor, ideally in the residential or student accommodation sectors.
- Proven track record delivering successful tenders on high-value construction projects.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with bid writing, editing, and compliance in construction procurement.
