We Are Footprint represented Seddon Construction at Hawarden High School in Flintshire yesterday, delivering a day of construction-focused workshops to Year 9 students.
The sessions introduced pupils to the wide range of roles within the industry - from site management and surveying to design, planning, and trades.
We also ran a hands-on Straws and Connectors activity, where students worked in teams to design and build multi-storey structures with limited budgets and materials - mirroring real construction project challenges. The aim was to spark curiosity, break down industry stereotypes, and encourage young people to consider construction as a future career path. We saw some creative thinking and teamwork throughout the day - a credit to the students and staff at Hawarden High.
Thank you to Seddon for the opportunity to support your commitment to building local futures.
