Bringing Social Value to Life – Together

Last week saw the second North West Social Value Alliance meeting, and what a productive step forward it was.

This incredible group of construction main contractors and SMEs, are not about just talking collaboration, but living it. In an industry that’s increasingly judged by the social value it delivers, this was a safe, open and constructive space for social value professionals to share experiences, learn from each other and shape the future together. A key part of the meeting was dedicated to going deeper into the Alliance’s aspirations and objectives, building on the foundations laid at our launch event. With terms of reference being agreed, we’re now forming a steering committee – a group that will guide the direction of the Alliance and shape the format and focus of our quarterly meetings.

We are digging deeper in to key discussions exploring:

  • Apprenticeships, skills & pathways
  • SME development & supply chain collaboration
  • Knowledge sharing, community & communication
  • Impact measurement & reporting

The surface has only just been scratched – but the energy and intention in the room were clear. There's a real optimism in the air!
