Dawn Kennedy
Finance Manager
As Finance Manager, my role is all about keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes – making sure our clients pay us on time, our suppliers and workers are paid promptly, and everything runs smoothly. It’s a balance of managing cash flow, building strong relationships with client accounts teams, and making sure our processes are watertight.
I’ve been with the business since 2013. Over the years, I’ve seen us grow into the thriving company we are today. My path into finance wasn’t planned – I originally applied for a receptionist role in 2000 and found myself in accounts instead. More than 20 years later, I’m still here, and I love that my job lets me combine process and precision with people skills.
What I value most is the culture we’ve built. We’ve got a fantastic team, and I can’t imagine working anywhere else. We’re not just about recruitment – we’re about making a difference, whether that’s helping people from challenging backgrounds into work or giving back to our community.
I’m loyal by nature and I like to be challenged. I need to feel busy, purposeful, and that what I’m doing matters – and here, it absolutely does.
Outside work, life is full-on with my three children – a grown up son and two girls who keep me on my toes. I love to set myself a challenge every year that pushes me out of my comfort zone and raises money for charity. This year, I’m running a half marathon for St Ann’s Hospice and last year I abseiled down the Trafford Centre’s Peel Tower, and I’ve even jumped out of a plane!
For me, it’s about showing up, doing the job well, and making a positive impact – whether that’s in the office, at home, or out raising money for a good cause.
