Telehandler Operator

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers to move materials efficiently across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, commercial driving experience, and familiarity with excavators. Responsibilities:

• Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials accurately on construction sites.
• Conduct daily safety checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist with labouring duties when you are not operating the machine.
• Coordinate with site managers and other operators to execute tasks efficiently and safely.
• Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.
• Support the operation of excavators and other heavy machinery as required.
• Maintain accurate records of material movements and equipment usage.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in operating telehandlers within a construction.
• Valid CPCS card.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Strong understanding of health and safety protocols on construction sites.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
