The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a smooth and durable finish. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers or bonding agents.
  • Mix plaster in accordance with project specifications, ensuring proper consistency.
  • Apply plaster using trowels, hawks, or other hand tools to achieve a smooth finish on walls and ceilings.
  • Use power tools such as mixers and drills safely and efficiently during application processes.
  • Repair or patch damaged surfaces prior to plastering to ensure a seamless finish.
  • Collaborate with bricklayers, carpenters, roofers, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks effectively.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by tidying tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations on-site at all times.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, floats, and spatulas.
  • Experience in bricklaying and masonry work is highly desirable.
  • Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of carpentry techniques relevant to plastering tasks.
  • Familiarity with roofing processes that may impact exterior plastering projects.
  • Welding skills are advantageous for specialised repair or reinforcement tasks.
