We’re really proud to share the impact of our recent Construct Your Future employability programme delivered in partnership with Willmott Dixon in Wigan and Leigh - a targeted two-day intervention supporting unemployed adults, including those who are NEET or transitioning off benefits, to explore sustainable careers in construction.

A huge part of the programme’s success came from the employer-led approach.

Participants heard directly from industry, gained real-world insight into labour demand and progression routes, and were offered work experience with a genuine pathway into employment. This programme shows what’s possible when employers, delivery partners, and local networks work together to create meaningful, realistic pathways into work, and we’re excited to build on this success.

Huge thanks to our partners and supporters: - Paul at Ashton Safety for delivering a dedicated health & safety module - Cara Group and Cadman & Manpen Systems for sharing real-life experiences, opportunities, and progression routes within their trades - Procure Plus, who continue to support participants post-programme by helping several candidates work towards their CSCS cards.

And a very special thank you to Rosie McLaren at Willmott Dixon, who worked tirelessly with us to ensure the programme ran so seamlessly from start to finish We can’t wait to celebrate even more progress and success stories as these journeys continue to unfold.
